So I was reading this post on the main page about this chick who won't give her boyfriend a key to their place, even though he lives there and is paying rent.
But the key issue is not the subject of this post. He cheated on her, in her apartment, while she was gone. And now she is saying that part of her rationale for not giving him a key to the apartment is that she feels that by not giving him one, she is somehow deterring him from cheating on her again.
So here's my question: is it worse to cheat on someone at their house than to cheat on them somewhere else? People seem more offended by cheating when it is done "under their nose" than if it's done in some other place. Why is that? Does the fact that it was at your house, in your bed/room make it more 'cheater-y' than if it was done at the other person's house, or in their car or something? Or is it just the extreme violation of personal space?
